Description
Emily tapped her finger on the desk at New York Tourism office, sighing at bit, as she looked out the window at all the pedestrians strolling down the busy sidewalk."Hey Emily, your shift's over. You know that, right?" One of her co-workers exclaimed, pointing at the clock, as Emily snapped out of her trance.
"Oh, you're right...I'll see you tomorrow..." The heroine replied, as she grabbed her things and headed out the door.
After a few steps, her fancy watch, crafted by the incredible Omega Owl, began to chirp, as the blue-haired beauty moved into a nearby alley, with the watch reading her running speed of 30 miles an hour.
"Transmute!"
Pyro Phoenix exploded into the air as a fiery hawk, as she scanned the streets for trouble. After a few moment, she heard the faint sound of an ambulance siren, and she flew lower to ground level to see it was stuck in traffic.
"Only in New York City does an ambulance get stuck in traffic..." Emily muttered, as she bolted down.
A few motorists honked aggressively at the heroine, as she squatted down to lift the emergency vehicle over her shoulder, as a few of them show their displeasure with a few hand gestures. The Phoenix quickly flew into the air to the nearest hospital, as she opened up the back doors to let the patient get inside the facility.

"Come on, just let me go!" A young boy yelled to another, as he landed on the pavement.
"Hey, you better leave him alone." Pyro Phoenix exclaimed sternly, as the bully ran away, along with his accomplices.
After a moment, Emily wandered over to the child, and got him to his feet, dusting him off.
"Thank you! Oh no, it's his big brother!" The child exclaimed.
"Come here you little punk!" A teen exclaimed, with the previous bully behind his brother.
"Leave him alone, just go home." Emily exclaimed.
"This is none of your business lady." He replied, pulling out a pistol, as the heroine formed a full fiery shield around the bully's victim.
Another moment passed, before the teen fired a couple shots at the barrier, deflecting off, as Emily grabbed the gun and crumpled it into her hands, tossing it to the side. The heroine then grabbed the teen by his collar, hovering in the air, as Phoenix's eyes turned a mix of orange, yellow and red, with her logo now becoming emblazoned.
"Okay...okay....put me down!" The teen yelled, as the victim smiled a bit, and Emily continued to float in the air with him squirming in her incredible grip.
"No...no, you can't...oh my...how are you so damn strong!?" He exclaimed with a frightened tone.
Another minute passed, before her logo burned brighter, and her eye color grew more intense.
"Please! Just put me down!" He yelled, as Phoenix darted back to the pavement, emblazoning her logo on the cement.
"Woah..." The young victim exclaimed breathlessly.
"You're staying here until the police come and get you. Got it?" Emily exclaimed, hanging the bullies on the nearby street lamp. as they nodded.
After another moment, Emily gently grabbed the young boy, as she flew away with him.

"This is really good pizza. Thank you." The child exclaimed, stuffing his face with food from the Bee Hive, a popular restaurant in Manhattan.
"You're very welcome." She smiled, back in her regular heroine form now.
"Phoenix, what's your real name?"
"Pyro."
"That can't be it...well, my name's Tyler. I'm six years old, and I live in a foster home downtown."
"You've been through a lot already, buddy." Emily exclaimed, rubbing his back.
"I've been wanting to ask you this...can you flex your muscles?"
Phoenix grinned, as she flexed her biceps for him, and his eyes grew wide. The two of them sat on the rooftop of a skyscraper across from the Empire State building. After a moment, Emily quickly flew off for a moment before she reappeared with a full-sized school bus over her head, as Tyler smiled excitedly.
"Would you like a photo of me lifting the bus?" She asked, as he nodded his head vigorously.
Emily flexed her arm for the camera, as she hoisted the 30 ton bus with ease. A few more flashes of the camera, as she set the bus down. Emily reached into the pocket of her belt and pulled out a device that looked like a phone.
"Anytime you get scared, you press this button, okay? I'll be there." Emily smiled, handing him the phone with her bird logo printed on it.
"Really?"
"Really." Emily nodded, as the child hugged her tightly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phoenix gently set Tyler down, as he smiled, running into the foster home, and Emily watched him get settled into his room. The heroine flew off , but didn't get too far, before her watch beeped at her, as she made her way back to the home. She hovered at Tyler's window, before he smiled and walked over, opening the window.
"I just wanted to make sure it worked..."
"Okay...you're okay, though?"
"Yeah."
"Good. Sweet dreams Tyler." Emily whispered, kissing him on the forehead before she flew away.
The young child pinched himself softly before he put his device on his night stand, and grabbing his soft, brown teddy bear.
