Daniel stood in the kitchen of the apartment, waiting patiently for Kayla to get ready for the NYU Christmas Party they were going to be attending. He wore a sharp black suit, as decided to take a seat on one of the stools at the counter. After a moment, the bedroom door closed, and Kayla walked out in a beautiful red dress, and matching heels, as Daniel dropped his jaw. The heroine smiled softly, pressing her lips on his cheek, and his hand gently held her hip. She turned to the counter, putting her cell phone into her handbag, as Daniel smiled gratefully at her.

“Ready?” Kayla smiled, grabbing his hand tenderly.

“Yeah. How about you?” He replied.

Kayla kissed his cheek softly, and intertwined her fingers into his.

“No arm today?” He grinned.

“Nah, I like holding your hand.” She replied.

The two of them sauntered down the sidewalk, as Daniel inspected his sweetheart’s toned arm, and she flexed the opposite for him.

“That moment when your girlfriend has bigger biceps than you…”

“Oh, I highly doubt that. You’re my superman.” She replied in a soft tone, putting her hand on his bicep.

Daniel smiled, and pulled Kayla closer to his hip, as she returned to holding his hand. After a moment, the couple arrived at their destination, as Kayla gave her bag to her boyfriend and posed for a picture.

“Sweetie, can you take a picture of me? I promise it won’t take long.” She asked.

“Sure, I can do that.”

Kayla folded her hands into one another and waited for the flash of the camera before returning to him.

“I love you darling.” She whispered to his ear, wearing a tender smile.

“I...love you too.” He replied, attempting to catch his breath.

“You okay? You look a bit wobbly.” She asked, holding his sides.

“Yeah, I’m fine. You just look incredible.”

“Aww, thank you! You look handsome too.” She smiled, kissing him again and turning to go inside.

“Kayla…” He exclaimed, putting his hand on her hip.

“What’s up?” She replied, with slight concern.

“Thanks for inviting me.”

Kayla grinned, put her hand on his cheek, and planted her lips on his for a long moment, Afterward, she wiped the saliva from the corner of his lips with her thumb.

“I thought this was a great opportunity for a do-over.” She whispered, looking him in the eyes.

“The gala thing is in the past, don’t-”

“I love you, and I think this is the best way I can show you.”

After a moment, Kayla kissed his forehead before strolling into the venue, leaving Daniel with a grin on his face.
