~the clearing at that forestEDIT: Lowered the overall vividness to keep it more, uhh, realistic. Vividness, as in, the saturation of the colour. Able to maintain the values though, which is good.
Playing with bold colour and lighting. Started with B&W, but that stage didn't last long. I didn't know what was I going to draw, so I started splashing some colour on it.
Inspired by Blinck ([link] )
An established and a professional artist. He really gives me quite a lot of inspiration on landscape. Do visit his dA and get your mind blown by his art. Go watch his videos on youtube(Blinckart) as well. There are some fine speedpaints video in there.

Wow....seriously, extremly wow! I feel like i was watching an mural. Is very inspiring of what people see in My little pony...the most of time. I see no decay in this picture, except for the face. An close look to her face shows no nose and mouth and some undetailed parts of her body but thats nothing. This Art is worthy to be in a frame. Expressing nature, expressing love......
When i see this the "Yoshi Championship" music comes in to my mind.
If i need to tell one more thing, you need to base a little bit more on the original design of the characters.

(First critique btw xD so if I do anything wrong, tell me xD)
First off, all though there isn't many different divisions of colour, all the autumn feeling colours in this picture make the who picture stand out against itself. Its truly quite amazing in how the colours are that close and stayed within the green to red area but yet they all help each other to stand out. Also Fluttershy's eyes in the picture stand out astronomically due to it being the only thing with any sense of blue, just making it that much better.
Second of all, you said it as well, you kinda go the inspiration from another picture and made a picture resembling it slightly (Hence the 4.5 on originality) but you didn't copy it at all, you saw the picture and recreated it in a way you wanted it to be e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
Third, the technique isn't that overly complicated but just complicated enough for no-one else to be able to copy it and the technique you did for the leaves and grass and everything that's there separately is how you would probably see it in reality to give that sense of autumn.
Finally the Impact of this is clear to everyone. We all get a warm feeling and a sense of curiosity (maybe the curiosity is just me but yea xD) and Fluttershy's facial expression, although lacking the mouth, makes it all even better. The level of detail in the picture is mind blowing as well as you can see the leaves falling from the trees. Frankly, for this picture there's nothing else to say except the fact that it is one of those pictures which you can stare at and it will make you happy. Barely ever get to see pictures that amaze you as much as this one does.

this picture makes me feel warm on the inside there's something about Autumn that is so wonderful and warming. this is absolutely wonderful and I love the way that Fluttershy is centered in this the way that she doesn't look bad because of the shading. It is absolutely wonderful. This is the kind of thing I would buy as a poster and put it on my wall so I could admire for the rest of my life. the kind of thing I would pass down through my family. All in all Fluttershy looks wonderful, and the technique is wonderful I love all the warm fuzzy colors. It's beautiful and perfect for the season, and I love the way you painted it... All the rules have been followed here. Warm to cool (relatively speaking, they're all warms, yes), dark to light, central figure, framing.
Everything is believable and there's a wonderful use of texture.
Now, for the critique: The rules were followed a bit too exactly. It is a very safe drawing in this method.
Some yellows in the front and a few reds and oranges in the back would help integrate the space and make it feel more like a singular whole rather than a setup of happens to be red trees then orange and then yellow. The warm to cool rule is a general one, not absolute.
The floating leaves of the very most foreground don't quite integrate into the space as much as they could. They match the trees leaf textures in size, but not the pony or the trees themselves and thus I expect larger leaves up front.
Some personal preferences:
I would enjoy a little more contrast in the foreground. Not a lot because you still want Shy to be the focus and a vague front to not steal that of course. But enough to transition us from the close leaves to the far ones. This contrast would also push the area forward.
