Description
This fake movie preview is the natural bridge between the cheesy science fiction movies of the 50s and the so-called “beach party” movies of the early 60s. It has robots! It has bikinis! It has robots wearing bikinis! And since no beach party movie is really a beach party movie without Annette Funicello… it has her, too. Albeit in cartoon form.The original title for this “movie preview” comic was Killer Bikini Robot Beach Party A-Go-Go, but that was so long that it took up way too much space on the page. (As a side note, all of my comics are drawn within the confines of a single sheet of computer paper. Back in the early days of Ben & Winslow, when the strips were all single-panel, I could fit two or three comics on a single sheet. These movie previews, though, take up the entire damn page.)
