Description
Every now and then an artist needs to step back from his body of work and ask the big questions. Why do people enjoy my work? What would make them enjoy my work more? Are bathing suits really the answer? Sometimes it’s the artist that wonders these things, but sometimes it’s his or her characters that wonder if their audience is truly invested. Winslow’s at that stage in his illustrious career. Maybe one day he’ll find the answers he seeks.
This was originally going to be a series of comics, but the idea grew and grew until it became so unwieldy that I’d be exploring it for several months. So instead of one long story arc, I split the idea into three sections. Once this section is over, I’ll post unrelated comics for a few weeks before jumping back into it.

I'm weird - at least that's what people tell me - and I enjoy weirdness. That's how I stumbled upon Ben and Winslow, and that's why I stayed around.

Let me rephrase that: The fanservice can be the creator's own creative preference that would make the work part of the appeal, both to the creator and the audience. Is it wrong to assume so?

Umm... Why? I'm afraid I don't understand what you're trying to prove or disprove here. I feel like you're getting defensive over something but I'm not sure what that could possily be. This comic is neither for nor against fan service, so attempting to argue one way or the other isn't going to accomplish anything.
