you need to make sure its on the same layer as the lines you are selecting
also make sure there are no gaps or spaces in the lines its like a bowl with water if there are gaps then the water will spill out of the bowl (same with the select tool(thing that makes stuff blue) if there are gaps in the lines on that layer it will spill out

Hi, I'm having problems with the magic wand tool. It works fine if I'm selecting spaces I've drawn on SAI, but I'm not steady handed with my tablet, so I've been using PSP7 to outline my scanned pictures. When I upload my PSP7 files(usually BMP or PNG) into SAI, I use the wand tool and it just selects the whole thing, and not the spaces of the lineart. Can you help me with this?

oh thats because SAI reads it as a picture
it doesnt recognize the lines in the scanned pic
so u have to retrace them and then magic select it
its a pain but thats all u can do

it costed me $100usd for a small bamboo fun
if your looking to buy go with a wacom
you can find them in apple stores, military exchanges (sometimes), walmar(sometime), chech any computer stores
