I was inspired to make this while listening to "Caves of Ice" by Destry Smith. It's an awesome song.Buy it here -> [link]

(which I will put HERE once I upload it)It was first drawn in pencil, then traced in pen, scanned, and then colored in Photoshop CS4 (because I'm too poor to upgrade)... It's "part 1" because there are still some shadows and highlights I want to add. Also a background might be nice....
She's blue because ice... Get it?... heh heh heh... oh so silly...

Your Art is amazing (why am I writing this like a letter I don't know) and from the moment I saw your sketchbook tour I was inspired and i knew that you would continue to inspire other artists like myself. Echo, I need help. Drawing help. You are the GREATEST artist I know. So I was wondering if you could help. In all of your sketchbook tours you have characters, right? Like Danny, Jim Bones, Chui Bunny, etc. I don't need help on MAKING a character. Rather, just MAKING a character. Do you get it? I need help on making the STYLE of a character. You know, like manga is a style, danny kind of has his own style too. His eyes, ears, face shape, and body shape are all defining attributes of his style. I would LOVE if you could help me!!! Echo, I need help. Not mental help though. Drawing help. You are the GREATEST artist I know. So I was wondering if you could help. Everyday at school I want to draw something. I just don't know what to think of. I think of your drawings but I can't remember what they look like. Trust me, I'm ok at drawing. (but my deviantart has 1 bad drawing) It's just, I lack the power of thinking of original drawings. I want my drawings to be special to me. I hope you answer because it's bugging me. I have faced lack of inspiration. In my experience, it can fit into three categories.
Being Bored: The shortest form, say your waiting for a stupid doctor and you brought a sketch book. But know your sitting there thinking "what know?" Often when I'm her I work on projects like maybe a commission. When you don't have a project your looking for LOOK AROUND. There is always SOMETHING to draw even if its a funny looking mug or the leg of a chair. Never tell yourself that it's too simple to draw not all pictures are grand. Every single time you draw, you learn even if you fail. Don't make your mistakes bring you down, learn from them. Magazines also can help.
Lack of Inspiration: This is my favorite type (I have favorites for every thing) Because at this point There are so many possibilities!!! Check out something new! Try drawing a style that you have never tried before. Don't think of an empty mind as a set back, look at it as a opportunity to find something interesting. You can find A LOT of inspiration on the internet.
Artistic Block: I HATE this one. Normally it happens to me when I'm in a project, (I'm work on a graphic novel.) When you think and think about what you could possibly do but your mind does nothing and it drives me NUTS!!! I've been going though it recently and it sucks. Many people have different ways of getting though it, some take a stroll down nature, others listen to music, some just look at other artists. But at the end of the day if nothing work you just have to wait it out. Keep it in the back of your mind and just think of something else the solution often comes when you least expect it.
