Description
This is what I orginally planned Shugo would look like while in his creature/youkai form. I'm not entirely happy with it now that I look back on it, but hey--that's why you redraw things, right? ^^ So I shall repost him in his new form as soon as I get inspiration and can put it onto paper. Hopefully this shall take place soon, but I've got a lot to do.--
ps- be sure tuh drop by and say hello if you're super-sweet and can spare the time, for I am a lonely teenage girl in need of new friends. -sniff- -sniff-

I really like the coloring and lighting (especially on the talons). I think that the red, black, and white complement each other well and add to the character of the piece. Keep it up!

Oh hey wow, I'm surprised nobody has commented yet. (I'm somewhat glad I shall be the first! Bwahah! Well, hopefully I'll still be by the time I finish "sparing the time")
You know, that character is such an awesome idea, I'm so itching to do a bit of drawing *nudge nudge hint hint wink wink* I think it's absolutely brilliant, but, all the same, if I had drawn it, I too would probably understand why you'd not be entirely happy with it, then aghain, if I had drawn that I'd be over the moon that I even thought of something that complex.
*Strokes the ears* All those... ah, I'm at lost to what to call them, the things on the back, are they spikes? Or... feathers..? *Nutty thought, typically natty, always thinking of birds, or Dragons, or trees (don't ask)* it's a bit grotesque how the belly is so thin, as compared to the muscular legs (like those greyhounds... erh...) but I only thought of it upon closer inspection, something did not look right.
Is it me, or is the thinness also give rise to the impression that the back is slightly twisted? I think it is me, because when I look at it, again and again (Gawd, I cannot draw my eyes from that majestic creature) it seems not. Did I mention the tail was brill? And the hind leg? Oh yes yes, the stance is quite impressive.
Switching between flattery and critisicm (Well, I don't want to sound like someone on and on about how GOOOD it is, and whine whine whine I can't do that, geh, that annoys me, but neither do I want to sound like, 'oh yeah, nice piece of art, but I see many flaws' I mean neither, and supposedly don't sound like either... just wanted to check, either way...)
The claws, wicked sharp black claws, ready to rip and tear... must be awefully uncomfortable to walk on though, it's a good thing it's only one of the many forms of Shugo (Whoever that is, I'm gonna find out after writing all of this) I find it hard to critisize the head though, it's pretty *tries to think of a word other than "impressive"*
Blah blah blah, I better save my breath, or at least some of it, to spare for your other art *I'm on my way now!!*
