If you think about it, the Temple of Time statues are like Slenderman... They follow behind you so very closely and you can never shake them...

Slenderman... Have you never heard of the game Slender? He's a very tall, faceless man with stretchy arms and six tentacles protruding from his back. He hugs children and kills people.
