i think windows should do updates for enabling Thumbnail for PSD and AI files.
Mac OS already do that since the Lion

yo...

i hate Bridge forever. XD It seems like it contains features that should have been INCLUDED in photoshop, but got split into a new program instead...

my current computer is much too slow to have bridge be of any use to me, but I can... kind of... see it being useful on a healthy machine.

I miss my old computer. I used to use bridge a lot. Now on this computer it's really too slow to be useful anymore. Nice tutorial!

Actually, in CS5 you can open mini bridge without having to open main bridge

I see you're opening your files with the "Open" cmmand? It can be much simpler than that. Open the folder on windows (yes, that's easier than the open dialog) and drag and drop.

Also, IfranView can open and display psd, I have that set zto default and use that to quickly check the content of a psd if necessary.

Also I always have a saved jpg of a finished psd saved right next to it, so figuring out what it is becomes even easier.

The bigger point is that you can bookmark your folders and the images show up very fast. Opening them with windows still has the problem of sorting through files.

Actually you don't need Bridge to view the actual pictures even though they are .psd files. I use a codec named PS Codec that allows you to view the icons of the file in the original OS, aka windows.

[link]

It's a one time fee and you can install it on as many computers as you like.

And just to say, Bridge is crap. It's painfully slow even on my high end computer with 2 SSD's so if you want to save a lot of time, get the codec.

And also, numerating your files usually help if you can't see what they are showing Like "picture_01.psd" and so on.

Never had a problem with bridge being slow I run 8GB and a new Quad. It works fine even with my 5500...which is generally the slowest drive. Also CS6.

OH HELL YES. This is so useful! For so many years, Bridge was a completely foreign thing that I avoided at all costs. You've explained it very well in this tutorial! Cheers

This is neat! I've never really given Bridge a chance - you're right, it only shows up when I click on it accidentally. I'll try it out sometime! Thank you (:
