Description •If you repost anywhere, please link back to me. There's no need to credit or link back to me if you only apply the instructions/tips of this tutorial to your own work (but adding this to your favorites would be much appreciated if you do so). A link to your work in the comments so I can see how you used it would be awesome.

•Some of the steps involve making changes that are so subtle that it's hard to tell the difference between them. I made a gif animation to accompany this tutorial so that it's easier to see the difference between the pictures in each step. It's posted here .

•I tried to be as clear as possible while still keeping things concise. I'm happy to answer questions about anything that's confusing or unclear.

I haven't heard from anyone else who's had a problem with this but I'll keep it in mind if I ever make another tutorial. Thanks for the feedback.

Hello! Sorry hear you're having trouble. I'm assuming you're using Photoshop.

When you draw on the new layer below the sketch layer and it doesn't appear, can you see it when you hide the sketch layer? Or is it that you're trying to draw but nothing is appearing at all, even when the only visible layer is the color layer below the sketch layer?

Hmm. In that case, I'm not sure what to tell you since I can't see what's going on. Are you using the paintbrush tool?

Sprinter104 [2013-08-07 19:42:13 +0000 UTC]

Hello. May I translate your tutorial into another language? I would be very happy if you agreed and sent me the original file with the tutorial, so I do not have to manually edit the background and retype the text. thanks in advance

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ThreshTheSky In reply to Sprinter104 [2013-08-07 19:47:16 +0000 UTC]

Hi there! While I think it's a great idea to make anything available in multiple languages, I don't feel comfortable giving out the original full-size file with all the text still editable. I know this is just a tutorial and not a painting, but I've had way too many problems with art theft to ever make a full sized file public again. If you'd still like to translate this into another language, feel free to do so. Just make sure you credit me and post a link to this deviation in the description when you post it. Also, send me a link to yours so I can include it in this description so people know where to access it.

Thanks for understanding.

Sprinter104 In reply to ThreshTheSky [2013-08-07 19:53:12 +0000 UTC]

Can I then ask for the text in electronic form? Links to the original source and author of the tutorial itself will be listed.

ThreshTheSky In reply to Sprinter104 [2013-08-07 19:56:35 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, but no. I can understand wanting the original for the background and layout, but I don't see how having the original text in a txt document would be any different from reading it off the jpg format if you're going to be re-typing it in another language anyway.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sprinter104 In reply to ThreshTheSky [2013-08-07 20:03:27 +0000 UTC]

To put me first need a text in txt. Then copy it to the translator, and then adapt the text under a different language and only then copy the format jpg. just a lot of text and retype it for a long time

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ThreshTheSky In reply to Sprinter104 [2013-08-07 21:05:55 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I didn't know you were going to just pop it into a translator. Even though those don't format grammar and syntax perfectly, anyone can do that if they feel that they need a rough translation. So I'll just say thanks but no thanks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sprinter104 In reply to ThreshTheSky [2013-08-07 21:22:28 +0000 UTC]

Very sad that you do not want to help me with the translation, but I can understand you. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial
