Hi there! Here is the first (yeah first!) steampunk hat made by the workshop.Vegetable leather of 2mm, hand sewn.
Embossed with gears, first dyed with brown and then darkened.
Frist googles too.
I worked it so it will look likes a little bit aged. Not worn, but I want it to give the feeling of a hat that have already lived.

This is a sensationally designed piece of clothing/apparel. Though I can see it more worn with clothing as the partial or full extent of being a costume. What's interesting is the subtly applied designs of metal gears and toolwork pieces. Amazingly enough, this houses a close resemblence towards clothing by specific characters from fairy tales and video games. With the leather housing the vegetable basis, you can clearly see the time and extent paid towards getting this work properly done. You have to have had a very dull childhood, away from tales and games, for you not to hold some sort of positive connection with this type of work. There are a few minor details that I would personally add in, but such things are not looked for by all. Still, if such could be applied, then I would definitely be aiming for the purchase of this for an exceptionally wonderful Halloween costume. Squenix(Square Enix) fans should nod with joy over this.

Awesome work. I must ask, though. For the custom order, can you get additional features added to the hat? Not anything crazy, just small design additions to allow for further originality and connectivity with a character's similar piece? I'm asking for the hat and goggles.

Now here's a new idea for ya: instead of focusing on steampunk, try more clockwork. Β It's similar, but instead of looking like steam machinery, it generally has a more golden hue and less of a bronze, and also has about the same if not more cogwheels/gears. Β It also is less associated with goggles (but still associated with them, although usually they look more like clockwork contraptions themselves) and more associated with fancy designs and colors. Β Go check out the Clockwise Whooves tumblr to see exactly what I mean, because that guy has the clockwork theme down TO A FREAKING T.
