I find backgrounds and landscapes kind of daunting and so I tend to avoid them... I'm sure I'm not the first person with that problem though, so no further blabla about that. I saw s tutorial for speedpaintings a good while ago and also checked out her "lazy brush set" and both of them helped with actually getting this done. Took me a little less than an hour. Can't really call that "speed", but hey, gotta start somewhere...
