A day at the lake can only be complete if it includes a moment like this one. Warm sun, the sound of the water, the sway of the boat... ahh...Photo taken by my sister of me basking in the sun. Guess who's a little sun burnt.

This was my second day on the lake. I burned pretty bad the first day. The second day, I smothered myself in sun screen. Still could hardly move afterwards. Sleeping and showering were particularly horrible.

I managed to get my only sunburn of the summer on Labor Day, because I neglected to put on any sunscreen. I was out in the canoe for about three hours in the gloriously bright sunshine.

I did get a little overburnt. My back is a giant maze of peeling skin.
