From perspective class, 1980.

The very first appearence of this design, which led to 3 more versions, not to be confused with "LA Tricentennial, 2081";

The others;

This was a more Sci-Fi version, set on another planet.

Also, the 8" x 24" format, deliberate, forced us to come up with a good design.

The medium was ink wash, and, I made no effort to Photoshop the art, (except some stars in the background)

As with all watercolor art, the paper was pre-stretched before painting. No white was added (except the aforementioned stars), making it very difficult...

This was the fruition of the "design" in Art Center College Of Design, and, in spite of a lot of wasted time there (and conflicts with the faculty over my chosen direction in space art), was still worth the investment!
