From a book cover concept, commissioned in Jan. 2015

This first art of 2015, is loosely based on the Arthur C. Clarke novel, "Rendezvous With Rama", about space travellers inside a giant cylinder ecosystem that is the interior of the ship. The "wall" is at the back, and an artificial dam to hold back a sea, rings the background.

I did a similar idea "Captive Universe" (in this gallery), showing the outside of another similar type ship.
