Update: I did some rework on this piece with lighting and color.My Gothic Crypt complete with stone gargoyles
Done in 3ds max, vray, zbrush and photoshop

This is absolutely superb!! The color, the lighting, the design, everything is so intricate, yet well balanced! Not to mention that I greatly admire gothic art and architecture, and this is definitely a gothic masterpiece! Good stuff.

Well, technically those are grotesques. Gargoyles have water spouts built into them.
Aside from my nitpicking (sorry!), this artwork is AMAZING!

Cool. This is kind of ironic for me b/c I just finished reading The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allen Poe, and this reminds me of a scene from that.

This looks great. If I had an ounce of talent (which I do not) I'd use this pic and add a gargoyle leaping from one column to another and rename it "Gargoyles at night" just for fun

Oh my goodness, I thought this was a real place when I first saw it! It looks so real, so intricate....the lighting brings such an interesting atmosphere to the piece. You can go into a lot of professions with these skills....congrats on the DD, you deserve it!
