Painted up in LMR "Crimson Lake" on the Great Central Railway in Leicestershire, circa 2009. Note the Eastern Region's The Elizabethan headboard on her top smokebox lamp iron bracket. She's painted black right now. God, I hope she gets painted up like this again soon...which reminds me. Its two sisters, the final withdrawn/preserved 48773, was purchased after withdrawal on August 4th, 1968, last week!!!!Enjoy

I've actually driven this loco, at the Churnet Valley Railway in 2010. I can remember how stiff the reverser was when you tried to put it into the forward position. The trick was to move it into reverse position, then quickly wind it forward.
