Apparently the term "ADD" was phased out in the 90s. Who knew.
Requested.

Are you taking requests? I would like to request the same stamp, but with authism (because I saw many people desperately seaching signs of autism in themselves and I think that they considers it as a cool thing -_-)

When I was little, a doctor TRIED to diagnose me with ADHD.
BAHAHAHAHA that failed badly. I was a very curious kid with a bad attention span, so I was alsways asking question after question and then sudenly doing something else.
ADHD is used too much for general stuff nowadays, plus it seems to be the popular thing to have some kind of disorder.

I was diagnosed with a million times already and believe me, I do not have it at all. The worst is Schizophenia if I'm spelling it right, teens think it's cool to have it and it's not it sucks. You see things and hear things that aren't there and are therefore forced to take respirdal it's horrible.

YEA I DO OK?! >:C
No, like, I legitimately do. I found out in first grade. But I can see where this stamp is coming from. People with ADHD should stop bawwing, learn to live with it, actually fucking try, and stop making other people with this disorder look bad.
On another note, I'd like to sa-----OOH LOOK SHINEE

That's not what this stamp is about, you assclown.
People pin ADHD on doing "random" (read: IDIOTIC) actions and basically misbehaving, and offending people who DO have ADHD because that's not what the damn disorder is about. If you had legitimate ADHD, you wouldn't be telling ADHDers to "get over it" and to "stop bawwing" because what non-ADHDers are doing is ridiculous and making the disorder look like it isn't fucking legit. And FYI, many ADHDers DO know how to live with it, you fucking fool.
I would also like to point out that that last sentence in your comment is EXACTLY what non-ADHDers fucking PIN ON US and you both bitching and then doing what this stamp is BITCHING ABOUT makes YOU and EVERYONE LIKE YOU look like a goddamn tool.
If you actually HAVE ADHD, you would know that. Hence, I call you saying you have ADHD out as nothing but bullshit. It's little shits like you that I want to strangle.

I think the worse is when all these angsty teenagers think that it's so cool to have Schizophrenia. In every documentary I've seen on it, the people look so tired and miserable, like they just want to escape. It's horrible.

I'm incredibly hyperactive most of the time and have trouble sitting still. That doesn't mean I have ADHD, that's just the 'I can't sit still' oddity that runs through the family xD
I know someone with real ADHD, and I sure don't have it. Nor does my pa nor my uncle.

Although I'm not clinically diagnosed, I have all symptoms of ADHD for girls (there seems to be a bit of a difference between the two sexes) and even if I don't have it, I still have the symptoms and they make school and everyday tasks extremely hard. People use it to make fun of people with it, as a joke and a stupid excuse. They don't know what people with it have to go through. Especially those that can't afford medication. I admit, I've said it once but that was a while ago and didn't know or care.

*Favs* Thank you... It annoys me incredibly when a) people make fun of it, or pass it off as a joke or excuse..
I have ADHD and I know what its like, it really makes me sad that people use it as an excuse... When I KNOW they dont have it...

Oh my god! Thank you!
This stupid guy that hangs out with me and my friends says he has ADD and ADHD. But! When he acts all ADHD/ADD he'll say "Oh, I'm so ADD" And he'll talk just fine and seem focused. He seems like a perfectly normal, focused person. He can go weeks without having any noticeable symptoms. My sister has both disorders and had a hard time getting through school. So when people act all 'random' and crap, I actually see it as more annoying.
People should be more considerate of mental disorders. Like, I'm self-diagnosed depression and some make fun of depressed people. Pisses me off.

I am so glad to see a stamp like this. My little brother has ADHD, and I have ADD (most people don't know that there IS a difference. You don't have the major hyperactivity with ADD--hence the lack of the h.) I see people that say things like, 'OMG, I'm so ADD!' And I'm like 'Really? What do you take for it? I've been on Adderall XR for nearly ten years!' It's like they think it's cool or funny or something. There is nothing fun about having ADD. It makes school harder, and most medications for it dampen the appetite and mess with sleep patterns. (One of the reasons I love art so much is because it is something I can focus on even without medicine.) I really wish I could tell these attention seekers: 'No. You do not have ADD, and you should be very thankful for that. You can focus and get through a day at school without medication. You can put your homework off until 9 at night because you don't have to worry about getting it done before your medicine wears off and your brain stops working. And no, you are NOT ADHD, because you do not literally bounce off the walls like my very ADHD brother does.'
Thank you for making this stamp, especially since you are not ADD/ADHD

The reason for which you can focus on art is that you have interest in it, probably unlike school.

God, if I had a penny for everyone I've seen say that have this or some other disease the is mental and whatnot, I feel I would be rich.
As a child, I was diagnosed with this. x-x But, unlike those who fake it, I dun make a big deal. "OMG LAY OFF I HAVE ADHD!!11!!1! HURRRR!"
Same with Tourettes. I was recently diagnosed with having tourette 'tics' as they're called. I'll twitch uncontrolably and whatnot, and it gets annoying when trying to draw.( I might be a little wrong on my wording there...but you get what I mean.) It's really annoying, and I fucking hate seeing people who abuse 'faking' having those diseases.
People walk around all the time yelling stuff like "FUCK!" and "SHIT" then making the excuse "I have tourettes" of course, in a joking manner, when it isn't funny.
I have friends who have mental illnesses, and they dun act like the fakers.
Sorry for the rant...just trying to get my opinion out. x-x

Lucky for me I don't have any vocal tics though.

Heck, people with tourettes don't always go to saying curse words.
People assume things like idiots.
Augh. My tics aren't to bad. They used to me, but they've calmed down. x-x

It actually pleases me to see these stamps getting a positive reaction.
While I personally don't have ADHD or OCD or Tourettes it's always really bothered me when people use an illness or a disorder as an "excuse" for their poor behavior. Most of the people I know who have actually been diagnosed don't even bring it up.

I freaking love you. Like an above poster, I'm diagnosed with it, but nobody seems to notice. Then there's those jackasses who try to make it blatantly obvious, and plead pity from everyone.
It's not a terminal disease, it's just four letters that HARDLY make a difference.

I got ADHD, though it was found out "too late", as the doctors said. *cross arms*
You know, after I entered puberty and was hit with the massive depression part you get if you don't get help in time.
It's bad, when you're a girl and got ADHD. Guys usually are more active and disturbs class, while girls are often just sitting in a corner and not making any fuss. Even if they need to. Their minds are hyper, unfocused, and so can their bodies be. But many are "nice" during class, and don't ask for help when they need to. So the teachers don't pay attention to them, because they're not disturbing.
But the boys? Everyone notice the boys.
No offense to boys. I know some that also got ADHD, and they're nice. ^^

im kinda the same way. when i was a kid (elementry school) i was the one with my desk turned around because i fiddeled with anything and everything. and even then i would distract myself with my pencil or a scrap of paper. i think its gotten a bit better over time(im in high school now) but i still get distracted so easily

I have medically diagnosed ADHD, and it pisses me off when people fake it.
Same goes for mental retardation. I hate Fred, the youtube star, beyond belief. My little brother acts just like him because my brother can't control it. He takes meds, but they don't help very much because he doesn't have an exact diagnosis yet. I might be b'aaawwwing, but Fred is so offensive to me because of that. And no one even gets it and how offensive he is to everyone like that. :/
But I think I'm getting off topic. >__> Either way, faking actual mental illnesses is awful and the people who do so need to figure out how terrible these illnesses actually are.

Actually, really, it's the other way around. I guess it's a laziness thing, because I haven't heard anyone say "ADHD" in a while. They just say "ADD" XP
I mean, my brother and I both have ADHD, so I can laugh at this stamp, but seriously, the fifty million people who think they have it when they don't... it's a lot harder of a thing to deal with than they think |D

I really wish people would stop trivializing matters like this... It's really not fair to the people that do have to deal with it. (Tourette's syndrome would be a good example as well)
