Erm, well, my spirit animal is a wolf, but I'm a person. Our spirit animal is nothing more than a persona or a part of who we are. A wolf isn't all that we are and we are not wolves. We are people. Now, yes, you could say reality is subjective and that today's definition of human or wolf could change tomorrow, but whether I call myself a wolf or a person or whatever random name I come up with doesn't really change who I am. Changing my name doesn't make me a different or more special person.
