Looks like Raven has to teach Yang the hard way about Self-control. Being in complete control of her fury will allow her to to be a forceto be reckoned with ,without getting blinded by emotion.I really wish Raven would just show up and give Yang a hug or something. Please?... For mother's day's sake?. Cause that'll just be really awesome thanks.

Believe it or not, My mind is FULLY convinced that Raven is like Itachi from naruto. Yang might see her as nothing but a deserter and a false mother. But I wholly believe she's doing something out there to protect her more than anyone thinks.Β
Just like Itachi, Raven can't be everyone at once so she can't ALWAYS be there when Yang becomes too reckless and is trying to get herself killed. And I think that's a harsh lesson that Raven needs to teach her to see her daughter become an unstoppable but cunning force

There are probably some deep-rooted differences between Qrow & Raven which we only got a glimpse of in their one scene. When Taiyang told Yang life with Raven was complicated, I had to agree. Complicated seems to describe life with Raven concerning many things! Especially since Raven doesn't think life needs any complications whatosever. Β Β

From what we have learned about Raven and how she has done nothing. I get the impression that Raven is a ruthless sociopath who doesn't care about anything about her goal and those who share it. Which is what she would do to Yang most likely.

Well we can't say she's done nothing. She is in the 3 most mysterious characters in RWBY aside from Neo and Salem. Little to nothing is known about her except that she's extremely powerful, Yang's mother and he is connected with the dark power that Cinder and Salem are all too familiar with. Other than the Grimm mask she has, everything is still entirely up in the air about what her real personality and motives are.

We know next to nothing about Raven and what she does or why she's doing it. But whatever it is, it's extremely important enough to make her abandon her family for more than a decade. If Raven didn't give a crap about her, she wouldn't have even bothered saving her from Neo, remember that.
