It would be truly interesting if Qrow passed on Habringer to Ruby, because obviously she's a Master Scythe wielder and she also has a transforming weapon like Habringer. If Ruby possessed both Crescent Rose and Habringer, combined with her Scythe wielding capabilities, she'll be truly a force to be reckoned with.
Not to mention that Crescent Rose and Habringer both have the ability to change their form, and Ruby would be more than capable of switching between modes when in combat depending on the situation and change the tides instantly.

Perhaps, but with how it was going, I was rather expecting Ruby's scythe to get wrecked, Qrow to die, and Ruby to take up his scythe-sword to carry it on(keep a piece of him around in spirit) and replace her broken one.Β Not an unfamiliar thing to happen in storytelling.

I like to think Ruby kept Penny's sword as a memento and a back up weapon in case she had to fight without Crescent Rose yet again. Of course she could have customized it red and black, kinda like Jaune did with Pyrra's gear.
I mean, she looked so badass with that sword. Would be awesome if she went after Cinder armed with the weapon of the first friend she lost because of her.

Woah, I think this is the only time I've seen Ruby in her season 2 outfit and it wasn't ugly. (sorry but I've always thought that about it)Β
Also she has one of Penny's Weapons and I'm assuming that her having Qrow's means he's also dead in this version.

Oh my gosh That means so much to me :') And yes I think Ruby will carry the legacy of the fallen before her and use all their weapons to beat the big bad. I haven't been putting out too much art lately since I'm in a very important transitional part of my life and when I get through this I promise I'll be putting out pieces every once or twice a week please bear with me T_T
