a very beautiful bird, the national bird of my country (El Salvador) here is called "torogoz" there is also another very similar bird of the same species called "talapo" (Momotus momota)
the torogoz has black eyes, talapo eyes are red, there are many features that distinguish these two beautiful birds.

Definitely a very-well deserved DD on such an incredible painting. Turquoise-browed motmots are stunning birds and you've done them more than justice with this painting; I love the use of lighting you chose because it makes their fantastic colours and shimmering feathers stand out even more. Also great job on the plants and branch, and I really like the fact you chose the Mayan's name for the title
