Description
Handmade paper and resin long-tailed hummingbird sculpture. Being life-size, this little guy was quite fiddly to make,especially cutting out such small feathers with my trusty scissors! Painting was the fun part, using bright acrylic paints and even some iridescent ones too. Hummingbirds are such beautiful little creatures!Related content

Is the detail in the feathers from a brush or did you "carve" some of the detail of the feathers into the paper?

Thank you so much!! Each individual feather is hand cut out of paper and scissored to look like this then glued in place one by one....fiddly! Then I paint them afterwards.

At first I can't believe that it made of paper.
The colors, details and the movements seemed so real to me. I enjoy looking at it and even (hum, sorry) I saved it on phone just to look at it when I feel blue
