Have you not heard of Palae-oh-no? Then it's time you did. Palae-oh-no is a series of short stories by set in the early Maastrichtian of North America, with the twist that maniraptors are sapient and live in civilizations. The societies are a bit crap in some ways though, because they are run almost entirely by troodonts while other types of maniraptors are discriminated against. (What's up with the oviraptorosaur, alvarezsaur, and enantiornithine in the image then? You'd better read the series to find out. )

What's especially clever about the stories, however, is that they incorporate a lot of references to the paleontological community and satirize poor science communication and common misconceptions about paleontology. Check them out.
