I thought ofย max 32.4ย kPa inside allowing to bend the joints however it's hard too tell how this would affect on user body, Apparatus for lymphatic massage (BOA) uses max around
18.665 kPa ~140mmHgย between the layers and I can assure limbs get stiff very quickly. However the outside layer can expand quicker than inner yeah 1,5x this can get bigger of course in the common sense limits

Now this could be a practical floatation device for ocean rescues in general. I mean you've got a little purple beacon there and a supply of oxygen
and a black infratable suit that would stick out in the ocean for miles. I think you've got something here.

This was the main intention here, although in the scene somebody turned up pressure too much. Dunno probably black would blend into darker navyblue, orange/yellow is the most visible however navy pilots use green drysuits. For sure suit has GPS-ish device, and burns in IR as Christmas tree. I'll be submitting later a manual for the suit so every aspect will be well described to fill blanks

Oh god, I think that episode sparked my interest when I was a kid.
Also I think I could come up with script to have the spheres expand, sadly it's a all or nothing thing as SL just can't make inflation look natural. But having a suit suddenly puff up works I'd wager. That and I could put a bouyancy script into it where the character will float in water.

4 framed skip to different sizes would work for quick expansion, like first 1s pause kill alpha, 1s pause next layer kill alpha. I don't know if expanding one prim in fluent move is even possible, there's always a 1 unit per second and this even look kinda "square"

Well the way I'd set it up is a slowly growing sphere. Starting at one step then having it grow to the final inflated form.
Perhaps even setting it up so the user has control of the expansion of the suit.
The only problem I see is that glowing button on the torso sphere. Moving it would not work in a inflation script. Might need to have it as a texture with a bump map to make it look raised.

Well the only way I think I could set it up is it could expand at various stages, deflated, lightly inflated, inflated, and something like your suit making it's best life raft impression.

The only annoyance is making sure the avatar is of a certain height and scale. Otherwise you'd have to scale the prims for the inflation for each individual user. For private use, it works, but for wider distribution it becomes a challenge.

I'll try to mod some rescaling scripts as a second thought I remember there was lag in root prims, they kinda expanded fluently. My is around 1,90m I even descaled lately. Most of avs I meet are higher or as me... at least in RP. Each attachment will have like 4-5 prims so using comon rescale script in additon for the modded one will be quite easy, people could fit it in their own terms. Anyway I never planned it for wider distribution. I think update process will show how big challenge it might be
