Good textures are one of the most important things
i did a lot more complicated scenes and i never got so much attention as i got here, and this is nothing, like a long box, with 3 extrudes at the end, a chamfer on bottom edges and a quick extrudes on the top. Cables are just a rendered smooth splines, boxes are simple polygon boxes, 0,7x0,7x0,7
the lightning settings are nearly default, the only thing I really had to set up is depth of field and UV mapping

Yeah, sadly, there's no huge gun in sight
i'm thinking about baking it and exporting to UDK, for teh lulz.

xD I have no idea what baking or UDK are, but it is extremely easy for me to imagine a huge gun and a nearly-depleted life meter running along the side. So if you have further aspirations for this piece, go for it! I think it rocks!
