He looks absorbed on this urge feeling, or somewhat of an ache, It looks like a internal wound or something he tries to control, something deeper than himself, its powerful. Maybe it could be this thing everyone carries deep inside themselves and try to suppress, like memories of something bad that happened, or their true faces( the true personality). It could be even a kind of power he fears using.

In the Norse Mythology, there are two ravens, Huginn (Thought) and Muninn (Memory). When I saw your drawing I couldnt help but think of them. The wolf has remorse and regret for being one with a forsaken heart. Haunted by a his past, he is locked in thoughts and memories of darker times, even though all he wants is to be free.
