He will protect the forest from despair and darkness.

He wanted a charactersheet but when I read the description and what he means to do, protecting forests and being a general good soul, I couldn't resist painting this scene.
The stag embodies darkness, death and despair.

Wow, what an interesting twist. Β Usually the stag is a symbol of purity and goodness while it's often the dragon who's the harbringer of darkness, death, despair, etc... Β Nicely done!

Usually its the other way with the stag being life and the dragon destruction, but I like this twist on this tale and the colors and contrasting lights are beautifully done.
