Like in the style of old masters. I think itΒ΄s best picture of Eowyn I ever saw.Β

would be nicer if you put tight leather on her and high boots (sexier IMO)

It seems that the statement, "...but I am not a man!" was not verbal.

great and original piece.
Caravaggio can only be jealous he didn't have a chance to know the story.

The amount of detail you put into the severed head is just incredible, and you can certainly see the renaissance influence in it; nice job.

Stretches suspension of disbelief that the Witch King would mistake Eowyn for a man, just a bit...

Your Witch-King is awesome, although I'm not really a fan of the semi-naked Eowyn.

Heh, this is definitely Renaissance, especially with clothes that mysterious seem to fail on the heroine. Mind you, that actually in a way makes her more badass, she slay a dragon with only a cloak covering her body.
Very nice piece, you really captured the scene and the art era.

this is pure and utter genius, but didn't the book describe the witch king as having a face made of flame? maybe im just remembering it wrong

I don't remember it being made of flame, it was just "a big mace" if I also remember correctly. It's been a while.

I wasn't talking about his weapon, I was talking about what he was supposed to look like under his mask/helmet...or am I thinking about the guy known as the 'Voice of Sauron'?

oh, there was nothing visible under his armor. He was an invisible/intangible entity of sorts. Perhaps only his glowing eyes could be seen in the dark (if I remember correctly)

I don't recall Eowyn being naked during the fight. I take it this a painting during Middle Earth's Renaissance.

I'm glad I read your description because my first response was "Eowyn wasn't naked".
Caravaggio is one of my favorite painters and I think you capture his style and the style of most renaissance painters very nicely.

...as a picture, pretty good. As even a symbolic take on a woman warrior armed and armored as a man--one who went into battle to defend her father and her people, at the presumed cost of her life? Well.... I'm afraid this is kind of insulting. Do you portray all your male heroes with naked taut buttocks carefully sunlit for our enjoyment?
