I could instantly tell which armor this was based on, so you definitely kept the original feel. I'm not too familiar with how female armors look in game, so at first i thought this was the actual female version of the armor
The texture work looks pretty great. It looks as though you have a texture seam visible in the center of the back and around the shoulders though. Those are the only flaws i can spot at all. Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much for comment! Glad the armor is recognizable! Even though the armor is a little different in-game, just due to the way they have to have the armor separated into pieces, and customization such as character physiques, dyes, etc. I'll get working on fixing the texture seams, thanks again!

If you can increase the bump or displacements on the back and chest pieces it would really pop. Β Right now especially the back is blending into her skin. Β Other then that very nicely done

Thanks for the suggestions but I can only use normals, diffuse and spec, though you are right I do need to make those areas pop a bit more. I think if I fix the lighting to help the normals and spec work together I can make it look like it has more depth.

pretty cool, like all the overlapping bits, doesn't look like it would be very effective as armour, but for something stylish to wear it totally looks the part. also grats on the internship, how's it working out? you don't see many ( if any ) female modelers on da for some reason, so wish you all the best

I don't have the internship yet, it's due the 28th of March, but fingers crossed I can get it! Hopefully I can make this look as awesome as possible.

I had to make the armor based on the stag armor concept for guild wars 2, while I agree it's not the most practical, I didn't have much of a choice in the matter, and it is fantasy anyway.

sweet, well grats on getting the internship, I'm sure you'll have a great time. yeah I never liked working from concepts, I know its a given in the industry, but I prefer to make things up as I go along, and its much more fun when you look at your own work after and its actually your work instead of someone else's design, anyway its a great piece those strap type things look like they were a bit off a pain , anwayz take it easy

I said I didn't have the internship yet, I'm doing this so I can hopefully get it I won't know after I turn it in and wait a couple of weeks probably. Since I still have time I'm going to keep on working on it.

Sometimes I like working from other people's concepts, it's one stage I don't have to worry about and there are a lot of people who are better at making concepts than me.

shit my bad, hope you get it

as for the concept thing, sure theres lot of people who are good at it, I just intend to be one of them . I'm working on a game, not for a company or anything its personal, if I ever get it finished I'd like to stick it on psn or steam, its a sci fi game loosely based on gibsons works, just waiting on a Kinect so I can record some motion capture, I know I can do it, I just need more motivation to get to work and more money for licensing software aside from that I'm good. it would be great if I could time travel to the future to see how it turned out lol, anyway best of lucking with getting the internship I'm sure they will like the model.

Making your own game is definitely ambitious and a lot of hard work, I wish you luck!
