Long tutorial is long. Again @_@... I have got to stop making such long tutorials. Originally it was even longer before I increased the width of the whole thing. >_>Anyway, my basic Lighting Tutorial! This is for all of you who have trouble with lighting and how to apply it correctly in your works. This is how I got to understand it so don't take me for a pro or anything, though, but hopefully, it'll be somewhat helpful.

Ah, yea, I saw that, too - the famous 'fave and run' stuff, lol. And yeah, getting more than 20 comments is pretty rare, let alone 40. And when you get 40, chances are you have an SSS wall. I still remember how a few years back, a wall of mine had to get to 80+ comments and 60+ faves in order to reach SSS; at least it was well deserved back then. Today, all kind of stuff get it, really. I nearly did a double-take when I looked at some of the showcased walls recently. :/
Nah, I don't think she'd look at it - I think she's too proud to actually ask someone for an opinion or seek advice. Her loss. *shrugs* And yeah, like I said - most people who comment with such words don't really distinguish between what is art and what is a mediocre (at best) work, they just care about whether the wall has a popular character/series or a pair of boobs that defy gravity. And speaking of that, the amount of ecchi crap I see on these sites is seriously starting to annoy me. There's not even one new anime show worth checking out because everything is about the damn boob/panties/crotch shots. Where had the character development and plot in anime series gone? ;_;
Lol, well, Akiranyo is notorious for his brutal comments. But yeah, I agree that on some walls, they would be actually quite welcome and necessary because, dude, those things really do look bad. .__.

wow omg, sometimes it takes 100+ for sss xD well..with the rate its at now...we'll probably never see the 200-300 comments/faves (looks at all time most popular walls)
lol speakin of that, I was look at her new wall..and noticed how she mentioned she "improved" the scan -3-
D8 OMG YES. there's hardly anything worth following at all...in fact i dont even kno if I want to even check any of the new summer animes out D;
from the summer charts, i think half of them are harem :/ more than half...>.> I guess they ran out of idea, judging by all the classics getting remade ): at least those are worth while though x.x
t-the plot and character development...was in those anime years back ): now they can't think of any new worthwhile plots without the boobs

Yeah, exactly - only the really awesome walls got in there, it was a privilege and all; I remember being totally ecstatic when I got my first showcased wall...meh. :/
And lol, I think the last wall with over 100 comments was probably Nysha's 'Vindicator', everything else is barely above 50. And actually, I saw some of them reaching sss, and then falling back to ss (I mean, what kind of unstable system is that, wtf?) and *still* being among showcased. I mean, I don't even...
...lol, I won't even comment on her improvements. Her vectors have gotten better, yes but her walls still look, overall, pretty bland and dull. Dunno if it's the colors or the lack of details/lighting but something about them simply leaves me completely indifferent. That and she's copy/pasting too many elements she used before; I think that may be the reason why she's not submitting to MT anymore as much as she used to - I kind of wrote that in my last comment there, lol.
Ahh, I actually kind of stopped watching anime - partially because of my GB limit and partially because, well, there's nothing worthwhile to watch. The last few anime series I decided to watch (and still have to finish) are Samurai Champloo, Shiki and Mawaru Penguindrum. I mostly stick to manga - the art is usually better, there are no boring fillers and I've noticed that most animes only manage to butcher the manga so, yeah. xD
I know, right? What happened to the awesome ideas and plots and characters like in Cowboy Bebop, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Ergo Proxy, etc....it's really as if they can't make a decent show today without the crap ecchi. It's so overused and boring already it's not even funny anymore. >_<

Yeah, but showcased were comprised only of 'full-fledged' SSS before, that's why I find the rating system totally fucked up - while I was still there, that Angelus Crudelis wall of mine changed 4 ratings in 2 days, I couldn't believe it, I was like 'Make up your damn mind already! >_<'
Lol, she's using gradients and burn and dodge tool to shade her stuff so it's no wonder it all looks too soft and pillow-shaded compared to everything else. And the constant recycling of background elements, gwah; all her walls have started to look the same which is NOT a good thing. She has so much potential and then she goes and makes mediocre (at best) stuff. I don't get it.
And right, yeah - I noticed that, too - lately they just make anime adaptations of visual novels and otome games and other stuff like that. When I see those scans of random chicks with 'deerrrrrpp' faces and their dresses pulled up so we can see their friggin panties, I get a rash and an urge to smash something.

Lol, I think you automatically have a D when you only submit a wall or something like that. I've seen walls have B- with 0 comments and faves. I guess it also depends on how many times it's been viewed but dude, that's no standard for quality. :/
Yeah, could be. That's why I just had to say that in my comment on MT because I got really tired of seeing the same recycled stuff in her walls over and over again with no attention to details or suggestions other people made. It's like she only pays attention to those 'Omg, this is so osm!1!' comments and discards the constructive crits. >_>
Hahaha, yesh~ I wouldn't mind some male fanservice also, it's so rare to see nowadays in anime...unless it's some lame yaoi/shounen-ai crap directed towards yaoi fangirls to also pull them into the show *coughDRRRcough* Meh, it's all gone downhill. Where's the end of the world when you need one? :T

Lol, I have to do that on MT but usually I can tell from the thumb on AP what quality it is.
Lol, nooo, it's not aimed at yaoi fangirls, Narita is not a yaoi writer, lulz; I'm just saying that, as most anime tend to do it today, they threw in some scenes between Izaya and Shizuo to lure more audience to watch the show and since yaoi fangirls are usually a crazy, obsessed bunch, no wonder it attracted a lot of them. Shizuo and Izaya don't get as NEAR so many scenes together in the novels/manga as they do in the anime.
Well, what ever happens by the end of 2012 (judging by the developments of some things, the WW3 is inevitable at one point or another but hey, that's what they want - war is profit) I actually hope it'll all end; I feel so....tired of it all. Not physically but yenno, just...tired of the whole crap that's been going on in this world. I think this planet needs a reboot, definitely. And some vacation from human race. :/

oh ahhh lol. ya all of a sudden the net's flooded wif that pairing. well kuroko's basuke's pretty good right now...but I'm not sure if I'm watching for story or cuz the art + guys look nice o.o and then pairing art floods all over..even the characters that havent appeared in manga yet..not sure if fans did research or was fans before anime.

Lol, yeah. I find them rather amusing - it's really funny how when they see a picture of Shizuo with let's say, Vorona (who has yet to appear in anime), they're all "Ngh, GTFO you bitch, Shizuo is mine" and when they see a Shizaya pic, they're all "OMG, so hot!1" They're a pretty crazy bunch, indeed. Not to mention bashing, ohh, the bashing. It's one thing to express your opinion but bashing pairings/characters AND the artists who made the image is just lame. There's a ton of that on Zerochan. Oh, the drama I encounter every day. xD
And lol, I wanted to start Kuroko no Basket, too and out of curiosity, went to see some pics on ZC about it. I realized it was a huge mistake because almost EVERY one of them featured some yaoi pairing or the other. It's the last time I go to ZC for manga refs before I start reading it, they just ruined it for me. And lol, I don't think they really mind if the series is shounen-ai or not, they will still ship people that would rather stab themselves in the gut with a sword than kiss each other or have awesome, steamy buttsex. Because hating each other = loving each other. Right. xD
Well, I've been through a war and yeah, it wasn't a lovely experience. Granted, my area wasn't so close to the actual battlefields but it was still close enough to hear bombs falling on cities close by and having your whole house shake and windows break in the process. So, yeah, after finding out about what war was REALLY about, I have zero tolerance and below zero trust in ANY politicians. They're all the same and nothing more but parasites of society. They should be banned from existence.

Oh, Zerochan is the drama queen of all queens, lol. And oh, don't worry - there's plenty of 'Shizuo belongs to Izaya and Izaya only, rawr!' to look at but I've also seen some rather...interesting cases of 'Nooo, I want Shizuo to look at me and only meee!'...and that on every ShizuoxVorona pic. I was seriously starting to wonder if that person didn't need medical help. I'm still glad there are some sane people there, too so it makes it all so much more interesting. The ZC dramas never stop~ <3 xD
Oh, I'm just glad that the DOGS fandom is pretty okay and chill when it comes to pairings. Not that I think Haine and Badou would ever have hot steamy buttsex but at least there's no animosity and drama and stupid ship wars for which I'm immensely glad. Besides, it's obvious from the most recent chapters that Miwa ships HainexNaoto like whoa, lol, I'm just worried my OTP will end up dying. Or one of them dying in the end. xD
The consequences of war are...yeah, not particularly nice. From people getting PTSP and then being discarded as if nothing happened to all the people who had died or lost their loved ones and for what - so 2 imbeciles could play some war and power games? I mean, when your own president is happily sipping coffee in his presidential residence WITH the president of the country currently bombing one of your own cities AND discussing how to best divide the 3RD country among themselves, what can you expect? He also called us, the people of this country (and I quote) "cattle with small teeth" or in short - sheep. Because that's what we all are to them - mindless sheep to control and leech off and then slaughter in the end. They make me sick. There's no word in any language on this planet horrible and ugly enough to describe them.

Yeah, she's an assassin from Russia who enjoys beating opponents stronger than her. Her and Shizuo work together for Tom as bodyguards and she sees Shizuo as the ultimate opponent to beat, the fact he's not quite aware of because when they had a clash, she was wearing a helmet so he didn't see her face but I think she managed to stab him which reminded him of 'certain someone', lol. But I think they later get pretty close since she also shares Shizuo's love for sweet things and they work pretty well together, something Shizaya fangirls don't like very much.
And haha, it seems it doesn't matter Shizuo is a 2D nonexistent anime character, fangirls be crazy. Period. xD
D: Woman, go read DOGS. Like, nao. There's also OVA, too but compared to the manga, it's pretty bleh and only covers the Prequel anyway. Seriously, one of the best manga I've read in a while.
Loool, I wish only my president thought so, sadly, they all share the same belief - we ARE nothing but scape goats for them, cannon meat to use when ever they want to make more money and gain more political power. It's a good thing he died years ago otherwise he'd be locked up in Haag now as a war criminal that he was, anyway. But, really, all presidents are nothing more than marionettes of bigger fish that you probably have never even heard of. Have you seen a documentary called 'Zeitgeist'? If not, I recommend it, it's very interesting (the first one, the other 2 are basically rehashes of the first one) and makes you think.

That's true - fangirls really are an inexhaustible source of profit so they have to drop some of that fanservice into anime/manga. Though I love Miwa for not putting much (if not any) of that into DOGS. There IS some nudity here and there and mature themes but all those actually correspond to the plot and aren't there just to flash random shots of boobs or panties in your face. xD
Oh, I think you can find them all on Animea ([link] ) but yeah, they just cover the intro stories of the 4 major characters. It's not really necessary to watch/read that to follow 'Bullets & Carnage' but yeah, the art in the manga is really pretty and more detailed than it is now.
It's about political things, yes, but also about the global things in general. And it's not bland or boring, don't worry, it's pretty interesting. It also covers the religion part, the attacks on the Towers and what is yet to come. If you want to watch it online here ([link] ), it's the last one in row, from 2007.

Yep! Not to mention that anime always usually butchers the manga's story and plot and ends up with boring fillers or something completely random and rushed. The only newer exception I can think of was Shiki - it pretty much followed the manga to the end.
Yah, I like Miwa's art, too - it's really recognizable and has a distinctive style. Kind of reminds me of redjuice's a bit but it's still different. And ugh, don't let me even start with all the manga I have yet to read. x_x
