Description
The creation:Yuya is a priestess of water. Although she has nearly no fighting skills, she's still a capable healer and has high endurance.
Creators Note:
This MOC broke my mind more than once. Pretty much every part of her body had to be rebuild a few times. Working on Toa-scale MOC made the armoring and preserving flexibility a whole lot more difficult. I worked with some different ways of joint connections this time; the rotation points for her shoulders are located near her back in order to gain more room to move and the hip joints are actually a system of three rotation axes in order to gain three dimensional moveability without taking up the space of a ball joint connection system would need. The rest of the joints are normal ball joint connections. Through this MOC, I also started to realize that it helps my MOCing to have pauses between MOCing sessions.

As much as overdone feminine proportions tend to bug me, for some reason I really like this build. Very creative, and a highly uncommon color scheme

I created the head little by little, maybe the Nuju mask was to much, but it looks a little like cat ears on the front and I thought it looked kind of cute xD

European mask packs when I was a kid, they had misprints
These are rare and worth around 10-15 € now ^^

Yuya is an absolute joy to look at. She screams feminine. The use of all the masks and helmets work well, with the slight exception of the Turaga Nuju Mask in back. I think its far too angular a shape for this rather curvacious MOC, not to mention it puts a face on the back of her head. That's always been a bit of a hangup for me. This MOC reminds me of two of my own MOCs, Isra and Relik, both of which take great inspiration from you, so I must say this is quintessentially an Alex-Darkrai MOC. Great Job Alex. Lastly, its nice to see you use system parts here and there.

You know, I only keeped the Nuju mask because it creates the look of cat ears on her head (at least that's what I see) and thougt it was kind of cute xD
Yeah the drills are from one of those miner sets [link] same as those carapar armor parts in blue [link] That bohrok shield is from Millennium Falcon set [link] Of course I didn't buy any of those sets, I got all the parts from bricklink

Yeah I can see that. It makes sense, but I feel that with what I'm assuming is supposed to be a large bow in her hair is kinda too much at once. Like one or the other would work, but not both. That and the gapiness of it all is what really sets it apart I think.
Yeah of course. I knew you got those from BL, I'm just saying, I didn't know they existed period. Heh. Should really go through and study bionicle parts, see what weird recolors do exist.
