A revamp of one of my favorite designs of all time. I really had to mutilate some pieces to make this, so if you want instructions, beware the dangers of what's at risk... also I'm incredibly lazy so please, please don't ask for instructions.Check out the new Tahu! Bionicle - Tahu Re-Revamp

Yeah it was too big, in fact this isn't even the normal hau, it's the stars version.

The Nuva mask was neat. But I think that they used Tahuβs original kanohi because it is more iconic

Maybe I'm just old, but was the golden Hau really that yellow?... Upon a bit of reading and finding that that's a Stars Hau, that's awesome! Might try making the Kopaka re-revamp when I've got the tools to make the necessary modifications, so would you have any pointers for painting an Akaku a similar color?

Well since the akaku is ABS you could probably just spray paint it with the gold you want.

Would it be that easy? I thought there's be at least some sanding involved so the paint would stay on better.

You could go over with some really fine grit sandpaper, but in cases where you're using lacquers, and the mask isn't going through any significant amount of wear, there's really no need.Β Just make sure the surface is clean.

It's in pieces.Β Not that hard of a build, just got to trim some pieces.Β The re-revamp is significantly more difficult, however.

bricklink/brickowl have individual sellers you can buy from.Β You'd be paying for me going through everything and finding the best deals, then paying for me to build it, ON TOP of already paying for the pieces once I find them.

You did that too, huh? I remember dismantling a lot of the tubule pieces to make axles. Really helpful for a lot of projects.

I only have Kopaka, Leva and Gali!
But awesome design on Tahu! He looks epic and really flexable! My favorite thing about Tahu is his sword and mask design, because he looks badass!

This is an older, purposely different nuva remake.Β Not only is the mask way too big, but I think all of the nuva masks are ugly as sin, so I wouldn't have used them for anyone.

A lot, you should check out the rerevamps for better mocs and more details behind part modification and etc.
