Description
A revamp of one of my favorite designs of all time. I really had to mutilate some pieces to make this, so if you want instructions, beware the dangers of what's at risk... also I'm incredibly lazy so please, please don't ask for instructions.Check out the new Tahu! Bionicle - Tahu Re-Revamp

Once again, very nice. You balanced the silver with the red/orange well.

I think the thing that amazes me the most about their revamps is how their simplicity works so well to recreate the old sets, but give them updates. You didn't use anything overly fancy or complicated to get the job done. Usually that leaves a MOC being tepid in terms of effectiveness, but there are those rare cases that I like to call SBE(Simple But Effective). marvelous job here. You should definitely get into MOCing.

WOW. That is one impressive Tahu design!
If only that wasn't the Stars mask though. Which pieces did you 'mutilate' and how?

Basic peg/technic connector pieces. The Stars mask was smaller, so it worked much better than the original.

of course. I must remind myself stars and this masterpiece are 'chibionicles'. I wonder how a full size version of this would look?

Probably a bit too thin. The issue is the limitations given when you want the thinner limbs/etc. This is if you don't have all of the necessary pieces, though. I was incredibly limited on what I had for orange, so I did what I could.

quite. Orange is a fairly rare colour for bionicle, since it was a secondary colour until Pohatu Phantoka/Mistika's release.

Funny, I actually have him on display with only the leg armor on. Make him look like he's got some really powerful superboots or something.

..I need to make a lava surf board now. Maybe with some turbine shit going like you had on your Tahu. It's funny, I almost NEVER do anything serious with lego. I'm always working on scratchbuilt figures or customizing normal ones, but I've been really into this lately.

If you have the Mahri Jaller sword, I'd recommend using that one

Actually⦠I've got an idea for a lava jet board. Want me to see if I can stick it together really quickly?

Cool! I love the re-design. I was really into Bionicle for the first 2 series that they released.

I never got into the Bionicle series, but I loved the lego kits. (I always liked the white one...)
Man you got this guy uber poseable!

Probably the second reason I didn't get too into it... I couldn't remember the names...
Loved the designs nonetheless.

I'm not sure I like the black on these revamps. The wrist barrels seem unnecessary too; don't they have elemental powers? It's been a long time since I was into Bionicle, so my memory is fuzzy.
All in all, the redesign is cool; adds that much-needed pose-ability the originals didn't have.

I just threw a bunch of unnecessary shit on. This was based on how I wanted the armor/attachments to look, not accuracy.
