Ok this took me about a month to finish, but it was totally worth it! XD Not to shabby for being my second digitally colored drawing ever! XD

Background: After the sudden death of her parents when she was young. She was found and brought up by Charlotte and Felix Blue; two of the world´s top assassin´s for hire. After initiation and training she soon became part of their team, being extremely skilled in wielding a scythe. All this changed when she met the Vers; Hansel and his younger sister Gretel. She found them wandering through the streets of Vale severely wounded. She took them into her home. Since then Hansel has owed her their lives, and over the years they became great friends. After being accepted into Beacon Academy, she presently co-leads team RAHV with Hansel.

Well the design belongs to a friend, I´ve been discussing with her ways to make the weapon transform, but I haven´t had time to make some designs for it yet.

nice lol that really came out sick and i like the back story i was the one that did the cammo guy with the red eye inspired by robin hood- his names Hunter Veterano story i would give him is hes the son of James Ironwood (head of the military in rwby) and james lost his wife to a grimm attack and his son was fatally injured of his left eye back in their past this then led James to become part of the military and specialize in robotics giving his son his eye back hence the red cyborg eye which enables him perfect aim when shooting his bow\akimbo mini oozies\ dual swords Named Guillotine- since a sniper originially aims for the head. Hes the perfect sniper in the world of rwby and James Ironwoods best commander in the battle fronts against Grim >

I would say that weapon is overkill, but not in the RWBY universe. So, can I guess at what fictional or historical character she is based off of? Let's see, she was adopted by a character name Charlotte... I'm gonna say she is based off of the character Fern Arable from Charlotte's Web.

Well, the scythes as a weapon and a harvest moon as an emblem implies a character associated with farming, and she does have a relationship with a character named Charlotte so that lead me to think in terms of "Charotte's Web". But what lead me to consider the character Fern is particular is that Fern's last name is Arable and this character's name is Arianna Blue.
I like looking at people's RWBY Oc's and trying to guess what character from fiction or history they are based off of. It's like a little puzzle and I often learn about characters and stories I didn't know about. You'll have to ask your friend for me if I'm right.

Ok so I asked her, and she told me it's just a heck of an awesome coincidence. She mainly just named her because of a friend of her's, but she didn't put much thought into basinng the character off a story...

Your friend should totally roll with that coincidence and act all book smart when people ask. I'm also working towards designing my own RWBY team for the fun of it. I have only some of the details work out. But perhaps you can give suggestions to fill in the blanks. This will be team LMNT (element).

Wow that is an interesting and well thought of hypothesis, I´m really curious to see if you´re right!! (Although the Charlotte bit and the name of the emblem were a contribution by my part, the original characters that were supposed to be her foster parents where actually two of my friend´s oc´s but in the end we decided to change that, so instead I switched their names for those of real life famous assassin´s (it all makes sense in the main plot). The emblem was already created by my friend, but I thought of the name Harvest Moon, mainly because in the darksiders franchise Death´s weapon of choice (a scythe) is called the harvester, so I thought that because of her weapon and emblem harvest moon was an appropriate name)
And I can relate with what you mean, if I find Oc´s I really like I also try to think of which characters they allude to. And don´t worry I´m definitely going to ask her! :3

That´s something that I´d rather say is still up in the air, my friend´s main idea was for it to simply remain as a retractable double scythe (sort of) but while I was drawing her I got a few interesting conceptualization ideas I wanted to show her.

i love the shadows, they are very well done, this is hard to critique, i guess the main thing i see thats wrong is the legs get very large, the boot is bigger then her head and they seem too long to me [i, though, am guilty of making them too short so that my just be me] i can't talk about design or anything because it isnt your oc so sorry i dont have more to say
