HEllo hello! Guess who's finally back!After being gone for the past couple of months I finally finished college and one of my pending commissions, so I'm now free to work on anything and everything I want, starting with reworking my characters.
So I might have a pretty big soft spot for my girl but she's still technically one of the characters I've worked with the least, (oddly enough because according to my gallery I apparently draw her way more than the others. But still... For the next couple of days I'm gonna work on a personal concept art boot-camp, were I'm gonna work on Regina's overall design, trying out new things, as well as redrawing some of her older outfits, so for starters I decided to redraw her stage 1 outfit but changing and simplifying a few elements.
Still there's a lot to do, I for one can't wait to start redesigning her weapon, so... LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!

Alrighty, as a huge fan of RWBY let's get this started. I'll be honest, I'm not a professional. Take this as you will anyways. So let's take this in bits and pieces yeah? Vision, She looks really good. I enjoy her outfit a lot, her heels particularly. I love her gloves as well, and what I percieve as a gladiatoresque kind of dress. I'm able to tell what kid of a character she is from this. Yet I would like more detail put into her weapon. While I like the lighting I'd be a bit happier if I knew what it was besides broad sword. Or what it transformed into. Next originality. She looks pretty original to me, I can almost tell that she has wisps of Pyhrra from just the gladiator style. I do love her mark however and as I said before her outfit just makes me sooo happy.the dark red fits with her and it just gives her this look that I enjoy. I also love her hair. Third, technique. I love love love your technique here. Of course, like I mentioned before the weapon makes me a little put out, especially what else you've also done. The lighting and shading looks amazing, and the fur and hair looks great. I can really tell what kinda stuff the clothing was made out of and tell how exactly it fits into her character. Finally impact! I really enjoy this character, and she's one that I can truly imagine actually being in the world. I'd enjoy to learn more about her andher personality, especially to learn about her team and how she dealt with it. Over all she made a good impact on me! Good job, you should definitely consider a big pat on the back.

So first thing's first! Thanks so much for the critique I'm so glad you like her and hopefully you'll be seeing and learning more about her over the next few weeks if everything goes according to plan.
I actually thought I had her bio written in one of my old sketches of her, but when I went back to check I realized that apparently I never made one for her in the first place, hahaha. Well as soon as I'm done working on her concept artwork and settle for a design, I'll definitely add it to give you all a bit of insight to her character.
As for the weapon... I actually just left the gray sword there as a placeholder, I'm actually still designing it, 'cause the only existing versions of it are a few crudely done sketches I made a few years ago, and a quick drawing that has nothing to do with what I had in mind.

I'm glad I could help, and I'm definitely excited to see how much farther you are gonna take this character. I'm excited to read up on her bio. Also thanks for helping explain the weapon thing, I was just awfully confused. Now I understand though, and I can't say I haven't run into similar problems. My personal weapon (not on my profile unfortunately) took me a very long time to come up with and for me to actually be proud of it. Ragnarok was my own personal buster sword/crossbow and I know it can be difficult just figuring out how everything works. So do take your time and give it as much effort ass this character and I think you'll be golden.
