well, shoot. My favorite game is Zelda. And my style is anime-ish. Deary me! not only that but my gallery is pretty much unoriginal! I can't even spell! Hazzah! It's like people come to DA with no freaking talent and they just want to do the same things all over again thinking they are original, and then you make a "to do list' of what people ACTUALLY do here. It's great, I love it and I fave it

"before reading this tutorial i was a serious traditional artist, but i always had few pageviews.
After reading "How to be a GOD on DA" - by bionic 7, i started cutting myself and shooting pics of staircases up and down (i mixed it up at the beginning) and also drawing lots of fanart. i became a brainless attention-whore with 1 000 000 pageviews and favorites everyday and even more comments that i don't even bother to read! Wow. Damn. You post the most fucking truthful sarcastic remark and all people can do is call you names. Sometimes it surprises me that nobody gets the fact that he's MAKING FUN OF the cheating bastards who do this kind of stuff. And what's funny about this is that I went to one site and I knew that it followed these guidelines because it had the wrong man's name on the pic and the guy didn't know a fucking thing about the area's location.

I remember when I was a kid; and you'd have to sit up late for hours every Saturday night and just hope & pray that the Bravo channel was going to play some twisted Manga movie; as I absolutely loved those movies; they were original and the art was fantastic; and the storylines were often macabre too
(I remember seeing Street Fighter 2 the animated movie... I couldn't get out of my seat lol)
But now... I dunno; it's everywhere; manga and anime alike; and as such has lost its originality
Plus; I agree about Dark art...
Although I'm a huge fan of 'dark art'
(and have been from a young age)
I'm a bit annoyed that a bunch of emo's think they can just slap some picture together with a bit of blood and a razor; and call it art...
Like that singer that goes on and on in their songs about how they were abused or bullied whatever when they were a kid... Only to find out they were born with a silver spoon in their mouths
Note: to lessen the confusion and to ensure I do not insult the wrong people-
to me; the interpretation of an 'emo' is an infantile teenager that believes their parents hate them; just because they do not get their way 24/7 (One of my sisters friends proclaimed that her parents didn't love her; because they didn't buy a T-shirt for her)
Or someone that will do something extreme such as harm themselves just to recieve sympathy! And although that is an illness in itself; harming oneself to recieve attention... I happen to actually know someone that causes the problems herself; and when she's confronted about it, she will do something extreme like take an overdose or cut into herself... Then everyone's back to worshiping the ground she walks on!!! Also; someone who will wear dark clothes just so they have people stare at them when they walk down the street, not because they actually enjoy or feel comfortable in the style
Anywho; I guess all I'm trying to say is I hate fakers, and people that will do whatever they can to be noticed... To 'follow the trend in order to be accepted and thus loved' crap; another sheep in other words... These were the people that I have never got along with; and they seemed threatened by me just being me. I am in NO WAY slating those that actually really enjoy these themes; or those popular characters or whatever, because if you're enjoying expressing yourself with these characters; then hell; do it ^_^
I just get fed up with people that will pump out picture after picture of obviously popular characters; just to be recognised by everyone else...
.....You know... I suppose I could have just saved a hell of a lot of time and comment space if I'd just said-

Yea, it does get pretty annoying with all the stupid anime names and stuff, its like, you're not japanese, you don't call people blank-chan!
Though what really sucks, is that there are really great drawers in anime, and even THEY get overlooked and replaced with crappier art. ALL the sections have their own set of great yet ignored artists.
Then the crap artists get all stupid and create those damn stereotypes like you pointed out. Oy vey.

Hi bionic7... you've ever been my personal god and jesus (omg) but i think that this could be considered a sort of map for people who aren't really goth inside... This is not my case...
I'd like to say that your dark and goth style is unique and there are no maps which can show how a really dark artist should behave. Your is a great work but bionic7 is bionic7 and nobody else... i hope u'll understand...
