interesting shot. what was your iso? is that what accounts for the noise? i like the noise, by the way, I think it really adds to the shot.

the ISO was 1600 i think. that accounts for part of the noise. the rest is from the curves tool in photoshop.

Rohan did make a good point, you sure like to take photos of the homeless..I guess thats your niche market

i disagree. the fact that he happens to be homeless has nothing to do with this photo. you cannot tell a thing about him. i didn't even realize he was homeless until i went outside.

So you are denying you take photos of the homeless.....interesting.

yes. i am. it's been months since i've even been downtown and taken a photo of someone who is homeless. in the meantime i have taken thousands of photos. you also said that this is my niche market, which it is not. as i said, i had no idea he was homeless, and that has nothing to do with this photo. he could be any old person waiting outside a restaurant.

Great shot here. I'm curious, what is the point of this debate though? It's your photography...why does it matter what you take pictures of. There is nothing sterotypical about the subject of a photo until a comment like that is made (~soulgk 's comment)....

i don't know. i just don't want to be known as someone who only photographs homeless people. i think that can come off as exploitive and cliche.

"this is really pleasing to the eye, i like the angle"

"i can't really say why i like it"

i am a walking contradiction
