Ever since I did my Top 10 "Characters I hate but everyone else likes" you may be wondering which characters I like yet other people hate.

Well here they are.

10. Misa Amane (Death Note):

I actually found Misa a interesting and complex character. Her parents were killed and Light killed the one who murdered her parents so she wanted to be his girlfriend. Despite the fact Light sees Misa as his intellectcial inferior, she was maybe to find him and she outsmarted hin many times to the point she was a big threat to him. Yet despite how dangerous she can be she's actually bubbly, cute and kind if you get to know her better.

9. Rolo Lamperouge (Code Geass):

While he was a jerk at the beginning he had grew on me. He was a poor mentally messed up kid, he had the geass since he was a little kid and was a victim, all he wanted was a happy life with a family, when he was with Lelouch he was filling attached and love for the first time in his whole life. And while he did kill Shirley, Rolo was raised as a killer and I felt bad when he died. Rolo deserved better.

8. Hot Rod/Rodimus (Transformers):

Ok, this may be questionable, but I do know some people who hate this character since they say he got Optimus killed. Hot Rod tried to save Optimus since Megatron was gonna shoot Optimus in the first place. Even if Hot Rod didn't help, Megatron still would've shot Optimus.

As much as I like Optimus, Hot Hod/Rodimus had a better thing for me. Due to the fact he was a young autobot, it meant that he had more character development to be used and for him to mature to be a great leader. That and the fact he's a very good strategist and is very ressoureful.

7. Red Hood (DC Comics):

Similar to Hot Rod/Rodimus but I'm pretty sure you get the idea.

I mean, Jason had a lot to go through as a child, which soon left him to be on the streets and fend for himself. And the fact as Robin he was brutally killed off by the Joker. And what I like about Jason is that after he came back and became Red Hood, he doesn't see the world as so black and white. For the fact while he does kill, he knows when not to kill which pretty much makes him somewhat better than Batman because Batman can't stop if he kills but Jason can. Also on Arkham Knight, Jason actually proved to be a good strategist to the point he might've surpassed Batman. Seriously, Jason has a lot of things going for him.

6. Takuya Kanbara (Digimon):

Digimon Frontier is kinda a mixed thing. While it is a forgiving season, when it first came out it was hated like shit with one of the main reasons is that the children became Digimon.

But I honestly was kinda interested with the idea. I also liked Takuya as a character. He was a brave kid who never gave up no matter what was thrown at him and even if he life was on the line and had some of the best fights in Digimon. So yeah, Takuya's cool in my book.

5. Yuma Tsukumo (Yu-Gi-Oh):

Similar to Takuya, Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal was kinda a hated season. The reason people kinda hated Yuma because he acted like a kid and made amateur mistakes. Yuma is a kid since he's the second youngest protagonist. And the reason why Yuma makes amateur mistakes because he is one. This kinda makes him seem relatable to people since you can't expect everyone to be good at Yugioh. Also Yuma actually had good character development over the series since he kinda thought that everything can be solved if he was a good friend to others but when he learned the harsh reality, he had to adapt and accept the fact that you can't always save someone. Now while Yuma may not be my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh character, I would say he's the most developed.

4. Sinbad (Magi):

I get that Sinbad may have done a lot of bad things such as done-manipulate the fan favorite Kogyoku with Zepar, his overall treatment of Kou as well as trying to return everyone to the rukh and he kinda does have some Gary-Stuish moments.

But I actually like him. He's a badass and funny character to watch. He never seemed to make me groan or just wince, he kinda always brought a smile to my face. Plus, I also liked the many dijin equips he had which were cool. Plus I really liked his development in the prequel series.

3. Shinji Ikari (Evangelion):

I think Shinji is more controversal than hated, but I can see why people hate him. Since he does kinda act a bit like a bitch but can you blame him? I mean he had a lot to go through. He has a Father he doesn't give a shit about him, he was forced to fight in something he doesn't know and he suffers a lot of trauma from lovecraftian shit. I mean, anyone in his position would crumble if they went through shit like that. Yet Shinji somehow manages to keep on going which is kinda inspiring and despite everything he has gone through, it doesn't stop him from being a kind person. Besides, he got better in Super Robot Wars.

2. Leviathan (Seven Mortal Sins):

Now this is very more questionable due to the fact Leviathan's series is not well known.

But those who are fans of the show can understandable dislike Leviathan due to the fact she was annoying and was mean to Maria.

But I actually find Leviathan adorable. Her character made sense since she is the Demon Lord of Envy and her interactions never ceased to make me laugh, besides she did get some karma moments on to her so I guess you can say what goes around comes around.

Now before I go to my number one, here are some few, honorable mentions:

Vaan (Final Fantasy)

Andrew Detmer (Chronicle)

Gilgamesh (Fate)

Lucky (Super Sentai)

Takeru Tenkuji (Kamen Rider)

Naoto Kurogane (Blazblue)

1. Shinn Asuka (Gundam)

Ok, it has a lot of problems to the point it can be considered to be the worse Gundam series.

One of the problems was Shinn Asuka being a bad character. Well is he? No. I can see why Shinn is hated but let me explain why I like him and explain on what he went through.

Shinn honestly had a lot to go through, he had his family killed in a crossfire, saw his friend was killed, saw his love interest being killed and had to bury her personally and even had a lot of regret when he thought he killed a sister of a friend.

Shinn only acted the way he did because the environment he was in demanded him to act like that, since he was in a war. And whether he was right or wrong, what he did made him feel better.

And although he was hostile to Kira, Shinn didn't know Kira personally and only saw Kira as a pilot of a Gundam. I'm pretty sure if Shinn knew Kira personally, he would've never have acted the way he did to Kira. And to be fair, Kira did butt in and killed Stella despite the fact Shinn told him to piss off so that he can save Stella. Sure Stella destroyed a city but Stella was a victim of war, Shinn tried to do what Gundam is meant for, attain peace through understanding.

I honestly saw a lot of potential in Shinn but it was wasted. Thankfully Super Robot Wars fixed his character. While Shinn may not be my favorite Gundam character, he's will always be in the Top 10 for me.

And those are my top 10 characters I like yet others hate.
