New series I'll be doing covers for. It's safe to say that this team is all about lighting up suckers, knocking out chumps, and smoking fools. I bet they could kick the holy crap out of any other team in the Marvel universe.My inspiration for this cover came from a gifted auteur whose unique talent for conveying nuance and emotional depth cannot be overstated:

Great Cover Alex! Love the color choices. You should post the sketch/ line art for comparison. Always blows me away to see what you began with to what it ended up as. Just a suggestion.

Thanks! The initial sketch was very quickly (and poorly) done due to the tight deadline and it looks very little like the final product. I only do line-art sketches because the editor wants to know what I'm planning otherwise it's mostly a waste of time for me because of the way I work now. Also, I usually save that sketch stuff for my convention art books so people so people who purchase them will have extra material to look over. Good suggestion though! Maybe someday I'll post that stuff.

No prob... yeah it does seem to fit the artbook extras anyway. I'm learning how to utilize my Cintiq in the same manner. Im not used to working directly on a screen yet so it has no where near the quality of your work but ill get it someday. If you ever have any tips you'd be willing to share im all for it.
P.S. is all your digital work done on photoshop alone or a combination of programs(corel painter)? Best wishes! Carlos

Takes time to get used to the Cintiq. I use both PS and Painter but lately I've been only working in PS.
