Description
This is an unused cover of Ms. Marvel that I illustrated back in October 2008. At the time I was a little frustrated as to why it was shelved by the editor, but after digging it up again this morning, I definitely saw issues with it that kind of bothered me. So today I decided to quickly fix some problem areas and now I think I like it much better. Of course, knowing me, I'll probably be back to hating it again in a few months...Oh, and this was entirely based on my earlier speedpaint sketch last september: [link]

Lovely. And so much better than her new costume, which is just so... so... bland.

whats crazy is I actually like the older one, the expressiveness and the energy is beautiful! I wish mainstream comics would allow for more fun and creativity like this.....

Some people should have their opinions shoved back down their throats with a sledgehammer, but oh well. ^_^ The hair is absolutely beautifully done. Her hair looks like lightning, very well done. I also noticed that her left arm isn't completely in the pic yet you drew the forearm perfectly to match the angle of the missing elbow. Very expertly done.

I don't know actually. Perhaps he didn't like it. But that's okay. Like everyone, he's entitled to his opinion

I like it and it's better than lots of Marvel covers already. The hair kind of looks more like energy to me than hair though.

The detail work on the her costume is crazy inspiring. I mean, MAN! The lighting is pretty damned good as well, but the detail work on her one-piece and gloves is killer. On another note, U know I remember when I first saw your work when U were doing Stormwatch and I have to say, your style, I've noticed quite the evolution since then. I only hope I can evolve in the same manner, dude... Keep rockin!

Thanks. Yeah, there's a quality I like in that speedpaint too. Usually you just can't recapture what you got the first time.
