A follow up to this picIn the past few weeks it seems quite clear to everyone that Derpy is here to stay and that the support art the fans have been making has gotten a pretty good message across. I'm sure Derpy would be very proud of you awesome bronies for the love you've shown her!
And with that, I leave you all on a positive note that Derpy Hooves is not going anywhere. Hasbro, the Hub, Studio B, and all those guys know that she isn't offensive and that we will fight to keep her in this show and not change her name! Haters gonna hate, Derpy gonna derp!!

I love this picture, mostly because it tugged at my heartsrings. The last one was so sad that seeing this one right after made me unbelievably happy. I was one of those people who fought to keep Derpy, so this picture was very heart warming for me.
One of the things that made it stand out for me was the difference in the lighting. In the previous one, the dark backdrop gave it a much sadder tone. Here, the lighter shading gave it a pleasant, happy tone. As a long time media critic, this is by far one of the best images I've seen this year. Thank you for making this. It made my day!

i dont get to give out critique but this one actually strikes me in my cold flimsy heart. i was, like many pony lovers, outraged because someone got up in arms over something that made no freaking sense. as a person who hates the world and all in it, this...this grey furred blonde maned and tailed pony with the wall eyes and the little unicorn mare...this simple creature we WE THE FANS gave life to. she is the proof that if you make enough noise that people with power will listen to you.
i love this picture because it tells the utmost truth about our love for this show, a show that many of us are supposedly 'not allowed to like because it made for little girls'. this mare is the proof of our love.
we love you derpy and we will always will. keep on flying

Lauren is NOT working on the film, she left after season 1 finished in 2011. Also, Derpy is still in the show and had en entire episode with her talking along with the other background ponies.

the entire #savederpy phenomenon is so important to me! I have a mentally disabled sister diagnosed with something similar to severe autism and when I saw derpy in The Last Round Up and then again in the Equestria Games arc where she was seen helping prepare for the town's events and being allowed to participate in the esquestrian Olympics, I was so happy to see a disabled character being recognized in (what is meant to be) a children's school. She is my favorite pony in the entire show, with Luna (specially gamerluna) as a VERY close second.
Blonde hair? What appears to be a case of Alternating Laterality Strabismus? Grey fur? Bubbles as a cutie mark? A thick lisp? An actual job as a mailmare? These are all reasons why I absolutely love her!

Yay! That means so much to me! I was really upset with the whole "Derpy is offensive so we're removing her" because she wasn't offensive in the first place! Glad my favorite pony is staying! I don't want them to change even a thing about her; she's perfect just the way she is!
