Animated Flash interface for the "Architect page" from the upcoming "Chronoscape" sci-fi novel website.Collaboration with awesome flash ninja who did the animation and sound effects.

This is really eerie and amazing at the same time. The mood and feeling is real tense for this piece. If this was a movie, with this music, I would go see it.

As for a suggestion, hmmm. Maybe have some of the mini dust-spiders crawl across his back/arm every once in a while?
Oh, and you can see the edges of the dust-could/glare in the zoomed-out part move across the picture in vertical lines. Maybe have the slight grayness of that layer expanded so that it's larger than the frame? This way we won't see the edges moving around.

this is such a wonderful spread
only thing i can think of making this more intersting is if you made the big spider machine move up and down and side to side, or make its legs twitch, so that we get a feeling like its a slowly pumping away kind of goliath, waiting for who knows what.
or maybe the figure's robe flikering a bit in the wind that makes the smoke

Wow, the technique involved in this is amazing. =Vectortrance did an amazing job with the sound effects and flash. One thing I'd offer up a critique for is the animation used for the zoom-out is great, but the zoom-in feels a little choppy; is the same sequence used, only in reverse? It feels better zooming back out than in. Other than that, I feel like this is a very well animated and soundtracked sequence!
