More or less. Thankfully there is not such a predominant tendency in Western culture to strap a bomb to your chest, as there is in other parts of the world... but the point is why should kids have to go through school thinking that at any moment it could all be over?

It's a good question. I don't know, but it will most likely happen. What are they going to do, strip every American of every weapon that they own? It's not even possible. Here in Canada a Dr. was who spent a couple years in jail for murdering his kids, is now out. He plead guilty, but was deemed not criminally responsible. Are you kidding? He's smart enough to practice medicine, but too stupid to be kept in jail? - We can blame the system as much as we like. If there was unlimited money and resources, it would work much better, but even then... there will never be a definite solution. Human beings require the existence of other human beings; it's how it works, unfortunately those interactions tend to get ugly.

This ad really struck a chord with me. That's just handguns, by the way. Some people argue that they should carry around semi-auto machine guns. For their safety. The thing is, they wouldn't need to protect themselves from anything if everyone would just stop the fucking shooting. Even still, those kinds of guns are overkill, and the shootings happen often but not often enough to warrant constantly carrying weapons around. A man in China recently went on a violent spree similar to Sandy Hook but without the children being involved. He used a knife (because China's one of the countries where it's not easy to get a gun) and only two people were injured. I seriously wish we'd all just wise up.

That's not to say that violence isn't a problem in other countries, but it's certainly less likely that your neighbour is going to kill you. Getting caught in the cross fire of a radical political party, maybe.

It's pretty impossible to have complete and total peace.
But the way to stop things like the Sandy Hook incident from happening is not to shoot more people. It's to get rid of the guns.

I like the picture, but the horseman in the background bugs me, it kind of ruins the epic moment of the bus getting airtime whilst it's on a course to a secure death.. Bless those passengers!

I don't know why, but when I saw this I got the mental image of that smart blond girl, I forget her name, telling everyone why it shouldn't be possible for magic to exist... And then as soon as she finishes, the bus dies.
Hm, sounded funnier in my head when I first got the image.

I see how you could make that connection. However, this piece of art is not about what happened. How do we even know there's anyone on the bus? Also, alexiuss probably started working on this or at least had the idea to use it before the incident even occurred.
