Description
"Growth is nothing but the child of Rebellion."Third part of Festum’s birthday gift! Last but not least, the Cutie Origin of his character, Agni, or rather, Firecracker, the fierce lil’ Pegasus!
Longest comic I’ve done up to date, but I’m really happy with how it turned out. Hope you people like it! ^^

Congratulations on the drawing, funny enough I heard that Agni had a successful launch yesterday from India.

At the first panel and can't help but say "Go little Firecracker! Go!" Looks like she's working so hard to keep herself in the air ^_^ Though I can kinda understand why Kim wouldn't want her flying without proper supervision and training. Love how it ends though, she gets her cutie mark and becomes Equestria's first naturally jet-propelled pegasus.

Truth is, at this stage of her development I think it would be too early for Agni to fly, but now that she's found a special method for it, well... good luck trying to keep her on the ground. XD

Maybe her big brother Crimson Smile could help keep an eye on her since he can fly too, though I don't know if he could even keep up with her being jet-propelled now

Well, it's the Cutie Mark the filly just acquired, with the Cutie Mark of the filly's biological mother. Basically she's thinking "She's just like her mother..."

Somewhere Scootaloo is crying. A filly her age not only learned to fly before her but also got her Cutie Mark for her. For flying apparently! That's a double whammy!

Well, Scoots doesn't have special powers like Firecracker.
Basically, the talent her Cutie Mark represents is "Propulsion Powered Flight", so... yeah, kinda for flying, I guess.
Still, I'm sure Scoots just has to wait for her wings to grow a bit more.

I don't know the Cake's baby was able to fly before her. AND hold up Pinkie while doing so! I think the universe just has something against Scoots.

Well, the way I see it - and that is kinda supported by the design in the show - it's like this: Pegasi' bodies grow before the wings. If you check carefully, Pound Cake's wings are BARELY smaller than Scoot's, while there's a bigger difference in body size. And there's a much bigger difference in wing size between a filly and a grown pegasus than in body size. So, those tiny wings can make a baby size, but not hold their bodies as they grow until the wings start growing too.
If anything, I'm confident that Scootaloo will someday be a very strong flier because, even without being able to fly already, she's already putting her wings on training with her scooting.

First, both characters in this pic are female. And to answer your question, it's just because the filly is too young and the other one is worried that she'll hurt herself for trying to fly without proper training and/or someone watching over her.
