Description
"If friendship is magic, then love is almightiness."Well, another (relatively) quick montage done, and think it’s the biggest one up to date. Showing off some of my favorite novelties from Season 2 combined with one of my favorite fanfics out there, here I show you the Sparkle Family in all of its badass glory.
And… that’s all I can say. Hope you people enjoy.

Well, I made this based on Past Sins and the recent addition on Canon. As for Trixie, well... if following Past Sins's events, Trixie and Nyx had some bad history between them, so it would take a bunch for them to start feeling like family.
Whatever the case, though, really glad you like this.

Yeah I think I remember hearing about that through the review sections of it. I guess that would be kind of hard for them to get along. I was just going off the popular Twilight/Trixie pairing. Course I'm STILL not sure if I want to ship them or go with the whole siblings route. Ah decisions, decisions.

Dang that is a lot of weaponry, not to mention how much magical power is there to back it up. Definitely wouldn't ever mess with that family.

Hehe, made it a point to have Twilight with the long-ranged firearms and Nyx with the melee weapons. Dunno why exactly, but it felt more fitting. Plus I like specialization.

Makes sense to me; Twilight can open with the long-range assault and if anything manages to get through it and close to Twilight Nyx can get them with her melee weapons.

that's my only guess. Though, to be fair, the only canon alicorns are Princess Luna and Celestia, so alicorn OC's were sorta DOA (dead on arrival) for pretty much being immortal gods, so it's basically like people attempting to fill in the blanks about zebras using only Zecora to go off of.

I doubt that's the basic problem, but more like, due to Alicorns being treated like Gods or Deities, to create an Alicorn OC can be a touchy subject. And let's not even get started with an Alicorn Ponysona.
Not that I got any problem with this so long as there's a reasonable explanation like with Nyx, but some people can be... well, not sure what to call them. Close-minded come to mind, but I don't think that narrows it just right.

well, there COULD be pegasi that have a mutation giving them a horn (and the other way around) or ponies that just lucked out in the gene pool and are born alicons.

That could be a reasonable in-universe explanation if you wish to go for that. Not my cup of tea, but it's just as valid as any other.
