I don't doubt that. Kanata's had it's own sort of revolutionary army in the past, called the "Front De LibΓ©ration du KΓ©bek". I can tell you all about it, if you'd like. *looks at Goldie* Maybe your new recruit would want to hear about it, as well.

*smiles* Well, this goes back... WAY BACK... to the 1970s of our modern era. We dragons mark our calendar from the time The Son first came among us. In case you don't know, The Son is the dragon personification of All Father; and can be compared to Princess Celestia, as He was imbued with great powers; but that's another story.
Back then, some rebels among the Kebek dragons wanted to separate from the rest of Kanata; and they felt that the only wayΒ to achieve this was to promote terrorism, so the Kanatian Government will succede to their demands. Thus, they staged acts of random bombings and killings throughout Kebek. The most notable casualty in this whole affair was a Kebek Politician named Pier La Porte(so named because he came from a family of doormakers, and "Porte" is Fancy for "door"; because Fancy is the main language of Kebek, you see), who was held for ransom at first, but later killed.
They said it was an accident, but the truth was never really known. Following this, the Prime Minister at the time, Petr Elliot Trou D'Eau(so named because he came from a family of well diggers) sent The Kanatian Army into Kebek to try to quell this rebellion. It was a controvertial move for Mr. Trou D'Eau, but the rebellion was eventually crushed, the terrorism ceased, and The Front De LibΓ©ration Du Kebek fell into obscurity.
So as you see, Goldie, that little piece of our history sounds very similar to General Machete's *glances at the General* Republican Army. I don't know if your father knows about this. I hear he's not too up to date on dragon history and folklore. Not many ponies are.

That sounds a lot like The Alamo. In case you didn't know, it's a legend from 's world where soldiers faced similar odds. Only they were... I think... 184 men.
