Wow this is an awesome piece, the landscape reminds me of the materia caves in Mount Nibelhiem when you play-through Cloud's flashback in Final Fantasy IIV.

I remember that game, it's my favorite Final Fantasy game. I can see the resemblance. It was after the bridge break right? In fact before I even looked at this, one of the game's songs were playing in my head. It played sometimes on the Highwind when something major was going on (I think it was during the time you go back to Midgar). It may have also played during the scenes with the rocket launch.

A wonderful alien landscape, strange and beautiful--I've seen enough of them it takes a lot to impress me, but this is top-notch.
(To me, the central blue stone also looks rather like a kind of water elemental-- waves, fins, translucent to light--which just adds to my personal enjoyment, whether or not you intended it as well.)
