This is another speedpaint, probably taking a little over an hour...but that doesn't count making the brushes!
But once you've made a decent amount of complex brushes and tweak their shape dynamics, there's so much that they do for you.About 3/4 way into this, I 'found' a giant tree....making it organic-tech, added a dude and his ship and some color layers and a touch of color dodge, and this thang was done!!..for now....

I think the tree could do with some harder edges and perhaps some vines on the right side, but the lighting and composition and really nice. I long to start digital painting again

I have to admit I'm not a fan of speedpaints done with texture brushes. Still, the bottom part looks nice and smooth. I just looks like you got a little lazy with the treetop

I looked at this for a good long while, trying to figure out just what exactly intrigued me so much about it, but most coherent thoughts elude me. I love the way the tree bends, and the *almost* leaf-like pattern the blue "stuff" makes. Best of all, I love the sheer awesomeness the tree must be inspiring in the small pilot. He looks ready to fall over backwards.

This thing is beautiful. I love how the organic just seems to grow from the tech even though everything is angular.
I need to learn how to do brushes better. You can do so much more one ya know how.
